I'd expect keo-kanaat for lovers. maaaaaybe samia-narax but keo-kanaat is more obvious. i'm going to go back and look at BSS's list.
Edit by means of quoting myself and making the corrections (in bold). I had previously written lovers by mistake.

It's also possible, going by the contents of that list, that BSS could be Leekath or Talyn and know Alpha to be the other one of those. The cruelest scenario I can think of is that BSS is Leekath and town and knows Alpha is Talyn, and Alpha is indeed Talyn but is a killer and not town as she assumes.

I’m sticking with my earlier (spoilered) statement that I would vote to kill Alphabeta. At this time, I don’t consider BSS’s claim to be enough to convince me otherwise, but that doesn’t mean I can’t be persuaded.

@Kappa: I totally missed that one, thanks. Maybe I should reread Elcenia, it's been a while since I read the Talyn bits. He seemed like a classic "why immortality is a bad idea" character when I read him and he did some sketchy things in his pursuit of immortality but I don't remember the details anymore.

Well, knowing that alicorn lives on our tears, the cruelest scenario is probably the right one. Is that enough to switch back to voting Alpha today or should we let it simmer for a while, Kappa?

I don't necessarily want to convince anyone else on the strength of my suspicions right now. My feeling is still that either Alpha is scum or he's made a hell of a lot of mistakes in a very short time.

I'm feeling less suspicious of Alphabeta right now than I was two hours ago, but I'm not sure if it's enough to change my vote. Kind of teetering on the edge. Like, BSS vouching for him is a big push in the direction of "probably innocent", since it seems a bit too bold for the mafia, but on the other hand he still seems like the best target we've got. I think I might have tunnel-visioned a bit too much on him while collecting evidence, though? Like, yes, I still believe that he's slightly more suspicious than random, but I feel like I should have a secondary suspect who was less suspicious than he was but also more suspicious than random, and I don't feel like I do. I'm gonna try to reread the thread again to see if there's anyone like that, and possibly change my vote depending on what I find.

The feeling I got from BSS last game says she might be the kind of person that requested a town role.
That, combined with a statement like that being a really bad idea for a mafia member, makes me pretty sure she is town.
Sure, alternatives exist, but I don't think those are likely.

And yeah, BSS being mafia is pretty much the most unexpected thing Alicorn could have done, but I'm sure she will find other ways to torture us.
I do not think she would have lied to BSS in a role PM and I don't think BSS would have made such a claim without actual evidence.

Nothing the mods have said has indicated that anyone could request a town role and get one. Alicorn indicated in the first post of the OOC thread for this game:
Alicorn wrote:If you want a role that I think is likely (but, given the way of things, cannot guarantee) to be lower on commitment and complexity, you may PRIVATELY tell me and I will do my best for you. OTHERWISE I AM LIABLE TO THROW YOU IN THE DEEP END.
This does not mean "ask for town and ye shall get town". This means "ask for low power and ye shall get low power, maybe, if circumstances allow and the gods are kind".

I do think it's likely that BSS has what she believes to be really strong evidence that Alpha is town (or she's lying because they're in a lovers situation, but BSS being BSS, that feels less plausible). But BSS also went around for most of last game convinced she didn't have a double voting power. The mods do not tell us everything. The mods do NOT tell us everything. The mods revel in our confusion and laugh at our pain.

I'm not suggesting that Alicorn made BSS mafia to torture us. I was suggesting that making BSS's lover be a scum-Talyn without telling BSS that he was scum would be the cruelest option on the list of possible things to do to BSS, therefore it's more likely than tamer options like Mallyn-Rithka.

Yeah, last time I was mistaken about whether I had powers because I misinterpreted the phrasing of my PM.
However, this time there is not room for ambiguity, the PM explicitly says that Alphabeta is Town. And I think that while the mods might hide information from us, they wouldn't lie to us.
I double checked the wording several times and there isn't an interpretation of it in which Alphabeta isn't town.
