I took Latin once too, enough that I can skim a Latin text with the translation next to it and guess which words/phrases correspond most of the time. XD

Hmm, and in your link, if I click one of the possible dictionaries I get something that does mention "opportunity"... but then it quotes the actual sentence that began all this as an example under the alternate meaning "advantage".

From later in Laelius, perhaps pulcherrimam_vitae? It means roughly "most beautiful <things> of life", and the context is in the phrase "friends, who are, if I may say so, life's best and fairest furniture" (or alternately "friends, who are, if I may use the expression, the most valuable and beautiful furniture of life"), which seems like a rather appropriate sentiment.

Also, an alternate suggestion for Fire: startthefire (as in, 'we didn't...') might be appropriate.

boy Standard Backstory Bell who currently has no distinguishing characteristics that are not attributable to his girlfriend

he could be well_known. It's a external-oriented name (normally you are "well known" by others), while still being Bellish (in that they're exceptionally well known to themselves). If I knew more about the world or what distinguishing characteristics he'd acquired and how, I could make a better stab at it.

EDIT: Two suggestions for the British Hogwarts Bell: caduceus (Hermes's staff, symbol of commerce, cleverness, and occasionally bringing the dead back to life) or chanuphis (an ancient Egyptian mythical winged snake).

Some possible screennames I thought of while reading Alice Cooper and Queen lyrics. Also a few from common sayings and one from a poem. I might add more later as I think of them.

Possibilities for Spider: crimsonspottedtrail (from The Awakening), webbed_in_haze (from The Black Widow), webdeepinside (from I am the Spider), wrapped_in_silk (from Wrapped in Silk, or the Epilogue), or my_web_is_spun (from Catch Me if You Can).
Possibilities for Sigyn: Fight_or_Flyt (not from anything, but Flyting (making clever insults) was something Sif was good at, and it's a nice homophone for flight). I also have a sort of half-formed idea related to gold glittering because of Sif's famous hair, like thegoldisred, but I'm not very sure with that one.
Possibilities for Gaël (these are mostly knight puns, not sure how good any of them are): all_knight_long, knightmakesright, come_rain_or_shining_armor, or starry_knight.
Possibilities for Fire: dancing_through_the_fire (from Ghouls Gone Wild), burn_it_to_the_ground (from Last Man on Earth), this_flame_in_me (from Still Burnin'), burned_so_clear or burnsallover (both from The Dreadful Story of Pauline and the Matches, a macabre poem about a child setting herself on fire, part of the Struwwelpeter collection).
