Spam spam spam (Day 1 Spam)

Not the kind with cardstock and pawns. Mostly play by post Mafia so far.

I didn't request anything because I thought she was only honoring requests to be plain townies. I was hoping I would either get mafia or town power role, and I love my role, but I didn't request it. Maybe she read my mind, or maybe she wanted to give people with no powers last game a chance to have them.

But for the purpose of talking with the rest of the town I think speculating on this too much will make them suspicious.

Oh, and I think most of us should try to play similarly to how we did last time. At first I was thinking I'd try to be very nondescript, but I'm worried I'll get people saying "Last game pistachi0n would not shut up but now she's being quiet, maybe she has something to hide this time."

So I think I'll be a little quieter, and if anyone asks me about that that I'll say I learned from mistakes in the last game, but I'm not going to be too quiet or lurk-y because that would be out of character for me.

Edit: I just remembered that I want to be lynched, so maybe I should try to signal mild scumminess without implicating any of you.

The problem for me personally playing like I did last time is that my style last time, for the two days where I wasn't dead, was characterized by sticking with my original vote, even after the others had been convinced to jump off their bandwagons once whoever they were voting for defended themselves. This time, there's a decent chance that doing that will lead to Aestrix dying, which would be a Bad Thing. I'm currently genuinely worried that, when I jump off the Aestrix bandwagon, I'll appear suspicious precisely because of that. Hopefully, my patterns are more apparent to me than they are to everyone else, since I'm the only one who knows that I'd have kept voting that way throughout the game if I hadn't been killed.

I've got Aestrix Townie Subroutine running in my head as I post things/read over the thread. It helps that when I was playing my last game I was also kind of unwilling to talk and cagey about everything and didn't fess up about my power role when under pressure. I've got a pretty decent start to hiding as a mafia member there :)

last time I successfully convinced myself that Chelsea and I were the good guys so there's a chance I could become a true believer about this too. anyway, I think last time I was characterised by talking a lot but also being wrong a lot, so I think I will try to be super active again.

I think some differing from previous behaviour is okay, because we've all gotten less dumb, but going from very bubbly to very lurky would be bad. If something comes up in your offline life that's a reason for not showing up, but then don't be active in here either; we have to lie some in this role but lying about real life stuff is bad.

(btw i do have some hard stuff going on offline right now but i don't think it'll affect my activity levels.)

Aestrix Townie Subroutine is just as exasperated with being randomly picked out to murder as I am, the reduce in bubbliness is a result of me being annoyed xD

I'll pop back once people stop trying to kill me because the RNG said so, promise :)

that bubbly->lurky bit was more about agreeing with pistachi0n than about your behaviour. last game Libby was also somewhat annoyed when people were suspecting her no? I think you're doing fine in the hot seat Aestrix. <3

it occurs to me that I can't continue that argument and say "well, I asked Alicorn for something specific and she gave it to me" because my safeclaim is a vanilla townie and is not really the first name I would have thought of or even the 30th because she's pretty minor. I mean maybe I could have said I asked for a lesbian character? i think i'm going to just let this drop.

The vote count kappa just posted is different than mine in the infidels + faithful thread. Can someone go through the game thread and check which of these is correct? I am on mobile right now, or else I'd do it myself.
