I think the only way exactly one kill each night makes sense is if all the killers can communicate with each other.

Theoretically, we could have 2 or 3 different killing groups and it just so happened that every single night, despite the dwindling numbers of the town, exactly one shot got through due to multiple people targetting the same person by coincidence and/or various people blocking kills with their night actions BUT I would be really surprised if that were the case. It goes against Occam's razor.

Well, wasn't I wrong or what.

Anyway, I don't think we're in a lynch or lose situation right now, changing their vote at the last minute would have been so easy to save tau so it'd make sense that last evening wasn't LYLO.

That or the mafia consists of the players who aren't paying any attention to this game.
I am number 63. I'm also ESL, please don't eat me.

I'm going to vote jalapeno_dude. I explained why I was suspicious the last time I posted.

Does anyone want to brainstorm strategy about what we should have done on previous days / what we should be doing now? I feel about as lost now as I did when we started playing. One thing I really don't know how to do is to get accurate reads of people. Is anyone good at that? Or, scratch that, if you are good at that, you'll probably just get night killed for being less inept than the rest of us -- up to you whether that risk is worth taking in order to pull off a town win. When this is all over, though, before the next round, maybe we could all talk about what seemed to work, what didn't seem to work, what we should do more of next time?

...fuck it, I guess I'm roleclaiming. Without further ado: I am Matilda.

Apply to here. Decrypts to: "I am *Matilda*."
As predicted by Shoal, Matilda is indeed a roleblocker; according to Alicorn, I can target someone and prevent them from taking actions that night. (Presumably the IC explanation for this is levitation, or at least that's how I've been picturing it mentally.) Some combination of the following is presumably true: I can't stop a murder using this power, or murdering someone doesn't count as an action in the applicable sense, or I've been really unlucky in who I targeted.

Unfortunately, I have no investigative powers, so I've been picking people to role-block more or less at random (based on suspicious behavior in-thread). And I get no feedback on whether my actions in fact blocked anything. Knowing people's roles as they were killed, though, I can infer a little bit about what my actions were. In particular,on Night 3 I role-blocked DanielH. I therefore believe that I am the reason Chelsea did not fully cultify pistachi0n, as discussed e.g. here. I therefore find it ironic, and suspicious, that pistachi0n is the one leading the bandwagon against me.

vote paradox

I'm inclined to believe jalapeno_dude based on the timing of his message and the way it all fits together.

Can we have a summary of all of your roleblocks? Now that you've claimed, there's no reason not to share such information with the town, and we might be able to figure something out from it that you may have missed.

Sure. I can provide justification for each of these if needed, but it's not going to be much more than "I was suspicious of this person at this time because of their in-thread interactions."

Night 2: Alphabeta (this is the only one I have crypto for:

Night 3: DanielH
Night 4: Ozymandias

Night 6: Alphabeta (as my posts indicated, I was suspicious of him up until his death)
Night 7: Aestrix (I thought she was definitely mafia from very early on, so we can all see how good my guessing is...)

List of players I think are innocent:

BlueSkySprite--I am inclined to believe her claim that she is a townsperson because of how she described the wording of her role PM.

Jalapeño-dude--Claims to be a Matilda. I find it suspicious that he claims not to be able to stop murders, but I'd rather not risk killing another friendly power role.

kuuskytkolme--Confirmed town.

Anthusiasm--obvious reasons.

Thatwasademo--Again, I am inclined to believe him based on his descriptions of his interactions with the mods.

That leaves Paradox and the cultists. Shoal and pistachi0n are currently very active and are easily able to drive the vote, which worries me. I'm suspicious that they have some anti-town win condition they're not telling us about. However, I am more suspicious of Paradox because they've been a little too good at staying out of the way. So, vote Paradox.
