The cryptofairy lives! Er, so to speak. The Day 4 index has been completed; the Days 5 and 6 index and this index will be mostly completed before I go to sleep IRL. This post also has a changelog section.

Summary of roleclaims and encrypted messages from day 7.

This post will be updated throughout day 7. After that it will be mostly stable, but will still be updated with links to other indices when appropriate.

Standard sections have been replaced with spoiler-boxen to enable easy access to the one part you want. The below changelog is not a standard section, so is expanded.

Changelog
  • Index improvements
    • They all now link to the online PGP and RSA tools in the Navigation section.
    • Starting with Days 5 and 6, there is a new section for all revealed crypto’d information so far.
    • Starting with Days 5 and 6, the sections are replaced with spoiler-boxen
  • Google Drive folder improvements. Remember, this exists. You can browse it. You can look at posts I’ve decoded without downloading anything. You can use it as a by-player crypto summary instead of a by-day crypto summary. You can do all the above without downloading anything. If you use a UNIX-like system (Mac OS X, any Linux distro, Windows+Cygwin, etc.) and have ZSH, gpg, and openssl, you can optionally download my revelations script and run everything yourself.
    • In addition to the daily zip archives I’ve posted a Google Drive folder with everything up-to-date.
    • The ./RunKeys.zsh script and revelations I post here now link to relevant posts
    • Keys are now in folders by the person who posted them, like messages are.
  • I will still also run everything on all keys I personally have, and I will still report to mods on the off chance it appears that somebody sends crypto messages to only a subset of the alive players, but I will not speak publicly about that because I don’t want to overextend my special ghost privileges.
@Mods: I don’t think any of the above goes against the intended spirit or scope of me still having cryptofairy privileges. If I’m wrong, please tell me and I will stop it.

Entries here marked with an asterisk indicate that the corresponding post has been edited at least once. This could have been done to change the ciphertext. That is potentially unlikely. Be careful with these posts, but not overly suspicious. To be specific, you can check the last edit time of the post, and you can compare the message to the one in this index. If you don’t think anything relevant changed between when the post was and when the last edit was, and/or if you trust me, that should be enough.

After Daniel died, I got a message from the mods saying that because Alpha had double-friended Daniel, and because Daniel had double-friended me, Alpha inherited me - he became my cult leader and my vote didn't count against him. I don't think this held true for Pistachi0n because she wasn't doublefriended. Before you're doublefriended, you just can't vote against the cult leader. After being double friended, you can't vote against other doublefriended cult members either, because now you know who they are. i think this was clarified for me because alpha hadn't friended or double friended me or been friended by my cult leader. So what they were saying was there wouldn't be two separate cults, Alphas and Daniels, but they were merged.

So that is why I could not vote against Daniel or Alpha. This explains all of the shenanigans about whether or not my vote counted. But it doesn't explain what's going on with everyone.

I did, however, have the thought that perhaps mafia can't vote each other, or can't vote for their mafia leader if they have one. This is nonstandard but I think cultists not being able to vote for their cult leader (instead of just not wanting to) is also nonstandard.

I would have unvoted chicken last night but the migraine was terrible. I wish they'd managed to see the thread sooner. I hope they're enjoying the dead players hangout that Tamien's running.

No offense taken, it's all part of the game. Though I do have to wonder, do you find me suspicious because I've been acting suspiciously, or do you find me suspicious because everyone mysteriously trusts me for reasons they can't explain? Because if it's the former, that's fine, if it's the latter... I am suspicious because I am not suspicious? O_o?

Okay. That makes sense. So the extra missing vote against Alphabeta is accounted for. As for tau? Either:

-He somehow has his own cult and one of the three of us are part of it. Unlikely, I don't think they'd make more than one cult.

-There is a vote thief who can steal one vote per turn. This power has not been used before but someone didn't want tau to get killed. Either because they know he has a useful role or they are fellow mafia. I think the mafia explanation is more likely. No mafia has been in majority or tied before so they had no reason to use it and didn't want to call attention.

-Mafia can't vote for other mafia. Tau is mafia. One of the people who voted for him is also mafia. Obviously not chicken. Not me, I swear I was town before I was a cultist but you guys have no way to know either for sure. If tau is mafia, probably Demo is too.

Yeah, I couldn't say it before Alpha died because of my win condition. I agree with all of this logic. Two cults sounds excessive. Either tau's mafia, or there's a vote thief or both. We've got so few players left now that it makes more sense for the vote thief to be mafia.

Oh, a thought. Ivan! Did your initial role PM say that you have a power that you don't know about, or did your initial role PM say that they won't tell you whether or not you have more powers? It might sound like I'm splitting hairs here, but mine inital role PM was the second and I thought it was just a coy way of saying I don't have powers.

So Shoal, are we still on the same team? I used to think I would win if we were both alive at the end, but did that change now that Alphabeta inherited you and not me?

Yes, we're still on the same team and if I voted against you it probably wouldn't count[1]. I think you could probably vote against me and have it count, though[2]. Now that Alpha is gone, we can't acquire any new cult members (and I don't think Alpha acquired any in the turns after Daniel died, I think Alpha probably kept trying to pursue Alpha's own win condition, which he didn't share but was probably about "Skittles: Taste the rainbow!" (by which I mean taste some percentage of powers)

My current win condition requires us both to live until the end. If either of us die at any point, then both of us will lose. I think that the scenario in which we both win also counts as a town win because all threats to the town will have also been eliminated: neither of us have threatening powers, after all. So I think that would be a joint town/cult win.

[1] Just rechecked the PM, and it says I can't vote against any of Chelsea's friends, not "Chelsea's bestest friends" just "friends", so I can't vote against you, and I don't want to.

[2] If the only PM you got was the first one, the one that says you can't vote against Daniel, and says nothing about Daniel's other friends, then your vote will probably count against me, but it'd be playing aginst your win condition to do so.
