Nepal is awesome! If you like mountains, hiking, yaks, blue sheep (which are neither blue nor resemble sheep), elephants, rhinoceros, various other critters you don't usually associate with mountains and yaks, meals consisting of rice+lentils+curried veggies, being out of touch with the world for a while, and surprisingly progressive official policies on gender, you should go there! In fact, you should do so if the rest appeals, even if you're really not a fan of lentils and rice over and over again.

I actually got back over a week ago, but have been trying to catch up on all the Bells+elves threads. SO MUCH THREAD I haven't even had time to read any of the other stuff yet!
