The infidels think these things are scummy

We should totally keep a list of what things the infidels think are scummy so we can try not to do them too much. Regardless of whether these things are actually scummy. :)

Posts in this thread should contain quotes from the main thread.

include a link to the page it was on too.

If you catch a townie making a "scumslip", edit your post. later if someone wants towncred they can pretend to have gone through all of a townie's posts to find all these little slips and put them all together to make a case.

Kappa wrote:Furthermore, I explicitly stated that I can be argued out of my day 1 random kill plan by a well-explained and sensible alternate strategy, and yet Aestrix's defense is totally devoid of alternate strategies and focuses on things that do not appear in my quoted terms for departing from my precommitment. That's, uh, odd.
I think Kappa is wrong about this because a townsperson could also fail to come up with alternative strategies despite not wanting to be lynched, but it's important to keep this in mind in future dealings with Kappa that when Kappa spells out for us what answers are acceptable, Kappa will townread us for following directions.

And if Kappa doesn't, or complains that we're just doing what Kappa said, then we can bring up "damned if I do damned if I don't. You'll scum read me for doing what you say or for not doing what you say both ways." (this argument will be useful with more than just Kappa)

Furthermore, it also tells scum useful things, which I'm generally against.
he's right, you know. it totally helps our purposes that they're doing this and we should be pouring over these. People aren't going to disguise their roles as well as they think they are. We should be able to pick out the power roles with more information than before :D

voting no lynch truly does benefit the scum, but they know that so we can't do it. In the first game we could all get away with not knowing that, but now that we all do know it, it's scummy. no lynch means they have 0% chance of getting scum today. random number means they have about 26% chance (counting the traitor as town) of getting scum. relying on their intuitions is probably closer to 30% chance or higher for people who are better at reading people. They don't know that the RNG chance is that high, they probably think it's closer to 15% like last game.

They are overly suspicious of our ability to pursuade them, by the way. If all of 6 of us argue persuasively in Aestrix's favour and she flips scum then the 5 of us that survive are all going to look pretty suspicious tomorrow. so we have to all be really subtle about it while still trying to convince them, which hampers our efforts.

For now, no lynch, because I never made any precommitments so I can back out of killing Aestrix if I want to, and she seems convincing.
