I've decided to make a TVTropes page for Effulgence/Incandescence/Pixiethreads/Resplendence, and figured I'd post a thread for discussing it even before I put it up (which might not be for a few days, since I like to assemble a reasonably large list of tropes before making the page), so I can ask relevant questions as I go.

For starters: Effulgence-and-related and Effulgence/Incandescence/Pixiethreads/Resplendence both would be extremely awkward names for the page, but the roleplays are too interrelated for me to feel comfortable making their pages separate. Is there a better collective name for them?

"Glowy RP Fiction" is my favourite of the catchall terms I've heard. Somebody also proposed "Scintillation".

Scintillation sounds oddly dirty for my non-native-english ears

I dislike the term "RP fiction" for the tittle, a little too technical, is there any problem with just "Glowy" or "Luminous"?

Well, "Luminous" is too specific to Luminosity. Pixiethreads is glowy RP fiction without any Luminosity in it at all. And just calling the page "Glowy" seems way too vague. It could be glowy something-else, though. I don't know, glowy RP fiction seems perfectly accurate and reasonable to me...

glowy fiction / glowfic?

I approve "glowfic". But it seems more like a... genre? than like something that would title a TVT entry...

If there are ever five hundred glowfics, then maybe it can be turned into an index page or something, but while there's only a handful by a handful of people it seems reasonable to collect them.

Is there a tag you would like to be used for glowfic on Tumblr?

I tracked "glowy RP fiction" a while back, but "glowfic" is superior and I think I might switch to tracking it. Edit: Now I am tracking "glowfic". :D

I approve of glowfic as the generic term and will use it when tagging from now on :D
