My solution to Mark Unread From Here is to go to the lady page I’ve read, hit the mark unread button, hit the back button, and then the refresh button. A better procedure would be nice.
Marking a thread read up to the latest point read is standard behavior and useful if anybody reads part of a thread while not logged in or wants to deliberately skip part of a thread. A good solution might be to display a message saying
It looks like you skipped part of this thread. [Return to last unread location][Mark read to this point]
The first button would then take you to the previous Unread page and make it so the page it takes you to is the last read page. The second would make it so that the page you visited is the latest read page; it might be easier to remove that button and keep the current behavior as the default for not interacting with the banner.
So I somehow missed the announcement that now all coauthors can edit the Thread parts of the toplevel and that is awesome best Marri and best Throne <33333
I sorta wish the "go to first unread" links on the "Tags Owed" page were before the link, so if I want to open all my owed tags I can just click up in a line, instead of having to adjust left-right too due to the length of the title.
This might be a controversial change, so does anybody want to offer opinions?

Like, I was previously in the habit of not checking them all whenever I loaded the page because hunting down and clicking all the squares was too much effort, and now it is not
Thank you also for the "Mark read at" button. (In addition to the Tags Owed unread link being shifted; that is very useful and I am kinda surprised how much better it seems to be imo.)
