There are no other votes I am aware of. This is 5 votes, and there are 10 of us, so 11 votes, unless one is stolen or doesn't work again, in which case 10 votes again. 3/4 majority is either 7 or 8 votes, depending on the number of votes the mods count and rounding.

@jalapeno_dude: Yeah, I'm also pretty sure of that. =) I was counting by names and I'm pretty sure I saw yours as two names because of the underscore.
It was long enough ago that I'm not entirely sure that's what I did, the other mistake I could have made was going by counting votes, intentionally adding one, then thinking of that as the number of people and adding another one later.

currently the only paradigm we have for votes not counting against a person is when that person is the head of a cult: daniel and i couldn't vote against alpha, pistachi0n and I couldn't vote successfully against daniel. we are hypothesizing that the mafia have a similar dynamic, and that tau and thatwasademo are mafia together.

thatwasademo has two votes on them. I have a new hypothesis for how the double voter works: without their knowledge, they get an extra vote that always finds a killer.

I don't think that's how it works. On Day 1, "No lynch" got the extra vote. You got the extra vote on Day 4. Thatwasademo did on Day 7. When BSS didn't vote, there was no extra vote.

So it seems more likely that the double voter and vote thief are separate. BSS gets a double vote no matter who she votes for. The vote thief can steal a vote if they want to, but they've had no reason to before yesterday.

Okay, so I plan to vote for tau if he does not show up to defend himself but am not voting right now to avoid pushing it too close to an early ending.
Also I am some concerned that there is a vote thief intentionally framing tau, rather than tau or another mafia saving tau or the mafia not being allowed to vote against each other, so we kill him for them. So I want to give him a chance to defend himself.
Also I'm pretty sure that's not how the double voting works.

I stand corrected about the extra vote mechanics.

He would have (probably?, I forgot how ties are broken) died yesterday if our votes weren't stolen, so that isn't it.

Actually, idea. Unvote: Tau. I'll revote him once there should have been 6 votes on him or when I'm about to leave again, assuming there is no compelling evidence in the meantime.

They could have stolen a vote to make an innocent person look suspicious any time previously. They could have done it on day one. Why now? Somebody didn't want tau to die.

That said, I have no idea what's going on:
That should unlock my template/role claim. I'm not sure how good of an argument it will be, since it sounds like Alpha and DanielH both received claimable templates -- but that's who I am. I've been stumbling around in the dark for entire game, trying to figure things out, since I have no powers to fall back on.

And I have no idea what happened with the vote count. I don't know why someone would want to protect me, it's possible the mafia is trying to make sure I'm killed too. 50/50 chance that I die with the votes 3-3, but chicken just claimed a townie -- and this would mean you get to let him go on living, and you might kill one of the mafia this turn instead. This way... no.head.chicken dies for certain (as we've seen) and then you guys all turn on me and kill me. As we've seen. Why would anyone try to protect me if they knew I was simply going to die from all of you next turn?

But that's just a guess -- I really have no idea. And I'm out of good ideas for who the mafia are, too.
