I have been away for a few days and am only just now catching up, so haven’t gotten there yet.

I hope that the medeomancy vice indicates that Alicorn might pick up Goldmage soon, but I’m probably reading too much into things. Is there any substantive difference between that vice and the price of Bluemagery (other than how it’s acquired)?

Nope, it's down in the Alucine spreadsheet as "bluemageishness".

I don't think it heralds a new Goldmage chapter. My problem there is more on the plot/character level.

Why did Bar include baked potatoes with Shell Bell’s and Glen’s meal? Shell Bell has got to be almost as sick of them as she does of seafood (or if she just arrived, planning to be sick of them relatively soon).
