Ooh, that would be a neat way to wrap her in. Her published works, but her actual self in the Arda-next-door.

The number is just where Loki and Cam happened to be right then.

Oh, we're fertile till we're twenty, usually
Is this a typo or is their developmental cycle very different than human (since this plus five or six kids every two years implies they become fertile at eight or ten)?

their years are much longer than ours. in the thread with the more naïve quendi they were comparing valian years to their own and it wasn't the usual ten.

I *think* it’s four of theres to one of ours? Given some of the things they said about seasons.

Yeah, one Amenta year is four Earth/Endorë/"regular" years and a season is one Earth/etc. years. They grow up about like humans but have a longer young adulthood and live to be fortyish of their years.

Oh, okay. I'd been reading "baby every two years" as "constantly having children" but it sounds like instead I should just be reading it as "almost every household has a child at any given time."

You should read it as "you have another kid when your youngest is like 8 Earth years". This also means they have significant generational overlap - unrestrained circumstances, you have a kid when you're 5 and your first grandchild appears when you're 10 and planning your fourth kid to show up next year.
