I would agree, but I believe it is a historical fact that constellations were used for timing agriculture. Maybe I’m wrong about how important they were, though.

A fair number of those other options will be thrown off a bit by missing a few days of daylight and then moving the Sun, though, at least for one cycle. The moon phases will be all wrong.

I am still curious about Elio. Him being from Italy, especially now that he’s rich and has a lot of staff, makes me think he shares a template with somebody from Luminosity or Radiance. But he doesn’t fit anybody I can think of: a Carlisle wouldn’t have the skills, an Aro could probably come with the drastically different goal set (based on what Addy said about possibly resurrecting him) but wouldn’t behave that way, etc.

A Marcus who never lost his wife? He could probably be directed in this way and display those skills, but he wouldn’t come by repealing the Statute by himself.

Elio is not a templated character.

He sure feels like one for some reason. I wasn’t even aware I had an (apparently faulty) sense for that until I saw him.

Yeah, I was assuming the solar system was restored into the configuration it would have been in had its sun not gone out. Then the moon phases and solstices at least should be fine. Missing a few days of sun might mess up plants, not sure, and I'm similar unsure of how it might affect a monsoon cycle.

Elio might not be a template but he feels... template-able? or at least a character cluster.

For Elio, it might be the sense of "you know me, I'm already your friend" that he seems to be projecting.

They explicitly mentioned having restored the sun in a different part of its cycle than it would normally occupy in order to warm the coolest side first.

…that's suspiciousness, not templatiness, innit?

I mean, I suppose “suspected of being a template” but.

Yes, and Butterfly is a Bell. Is Elio’s assistant a Sulpicia? She matches the little we know of her.
