When you say "the monument" is the only way to spread magic, do you mean literally just that monument or it and others like it? It did tell Korovai that it was meant to be copiable.

I do mean the monument system as a whole, yes. I tend to conflate them because nobody's ever managed to build another one onscreen.

I hear Korovai intends to have a go at that.

That was also my first impression of who a woman with ridiculous power, indestructible and scary, who then just sat in her Sphere and did nothing, would be. But Riya makes more sense with the "young girl" and exerting ridiculous power like Cam did instead of declaring them all messy and inconvenient and solving it all at once.

The number of syllables in the Suranse alphabet is similar to that in the English alphabet. There are a number of reasons they don’t fit the same song (Suranse letters being split across sylables, the rhyming structure no longer clear, etc.), but I still want to add “Now I know my fas-var-peis
I could sing like this for days!” to the end.

I'm proud of the Suranse alphabet. I didn't even mean for it to form a tidy rhyme, but it totally did!
