The Many Worlds Forum

I have this page bookmarked, and backstage threads show up there: http://manyworlds.boards.net/threads/recent

I also don't see backstage on the homepage while logged in and that's fine.

Yep, I was just going to post what I did. Backstage is a board under Meta, accessible to anyone with the link but only listed to accounts in the Backstage group. In addition, for logged-out people only, there's a redirect (the folder-with-arrow) to Backstage.

Urgh, backstage threads showing up in the recent posts page is gonna throw off my using it for a chronological aggregate of all forum posts. I guess I won't request access to it (unless there's a way to toggle it for myself?)

I saw the backstage thread on my recent posts page before I asked for access to the backstage forum. (This suits me just fine.)

You technically have access to it, it just doesn't show up on the front page. I think I could lock you out as a special case, if you want?

Don't bother yet; I haven't actually managed to formulate my character enough to jump in and play anyway. If it becomes a real problem for me I may request that.

i put Backstage: in the title of my backstage post so that it would be clear what forum it was in from the recent threads page

That seems like a really good idea, Shoal, and I encourage anyone else who makes a backstage thread to do the same thing.

i am going to try to only make ooc threads about stuff that my characters will never be able to say in character. "I have never heard of earth but there are totally some earth creatures that work sort of like me" == something my character will never know.

If I don't have a Procedure for when I can make a backstage thread I will be lazy and just talk about my character instead of as my character.
