Well, suppose I wanted to make myself 190cm tall, but I was 175 or something, would that be like, below flying or above?
Do momentum sorceren ever glow (not-on-purpose)?
I think someone somewhere said that enchantresses glow. Or maybe it was enchannels. Which one was it?

The WAFFLES will submit to this indignity.
Re: Supplemental worldbuilding questions
(Pedantic clarification: Aranea as depicted in Mother of Learning predate it. It got them from a '90s RPG called "Exile: Escape from the Pit" and that game's sequels.)
Re: Supplemental worldbuilding questions
Beast said that Bell glowed when she cast her first spell. Momentum sorceren can’t glow when they do magic, because then it would be possible to tell who did magic when. That kind of magic just is, and there is not feedback for when it happens or who did it unless it’s obvious from context.

Ah, bit was it because she was the enchantress, or because she was using herself as a channel?

Re: Supplemental worldbuilding questions
Oh, yeah, she was the enchannel for that one; I forgot that part. I always assumed it was the enchantress, but I don’t think it’s really been mentioned since.

If you were willing to spend a lot of focus and time on it, pre-.
DanielH is correct about momentum sorceren.
I don't remember even deciding that she'd glow, let alone why.

Re: Supplemental worldbuilding questions
We can probably assume that glowing is not a universal characteristic of casting or channeling enchantments. Maybe it was a characteristic of a particular spell or spells.
Re: Supplemental worldbuildhttp://beheld-beauty.dreing quest
It happened here.
Belle’s first spell, to see what her father’s up to. Small enough for her to channel it herself. She just finished, and excited because she did a spell.
Does that help you remember what you were thinking? If not, it seems more plausible that it’s a particular part of the situation (like her being a natural enchantress instead of wished, and this being her first spell, and her being her own channel) that that it’s part of the search spell.

"You did," the Beast agrees. "And you glowed in pretty colours."
The subject is dropped there, an as far as I recall was never picked up again."I glowed? That's interesting." She nibbles her lip thoughtfully. "It hurt. Not that bad and not for that long, and I didn't have to concentrate through much of it, but - I'm not really optimistic that I'll be able to do anything big."
