Can you give an example of something that is squared-hex sized? My thought is that it could give a person a persistent ability to make a specific magical object, in the same way a hex gives an object the persistent ability to do a specific magic, but that does not seem to match the results in-thread.

I think we picked something out to be a squared hex but I don't remember what it was and feel too lazy to check the thread for it right now.

Nothing listed in thread for square, which is why I asked. Just, “[t]he things they drew up in fits of optimism mostly don't fit in a squared hex either.” (https://vast-journey-9935.herokuapp.com ... ply-150241). That implies that there was something, but it is never said what because the topic of the thread goes on to re-charting and indestructibility being a cubed hex.

I am also too lazy to check my chatlogs.

A hex is one caster's six slots, so it seems like a squared hex should be six casters and a cubed hex thirty-six (6²) casters. There's a mention somewhere of two hundred sixteen (6³) casters, which seems like an error unless I'm misunderstanding.

I tried to come up with a consistent alternate interpretation and failed; therefore I agree with Lambda.

I think the idea there was 'if we have to arrange for a tesseracted hex we will', especially given the context.

That's how I read it too.

I agree with Adelene’s interpretation, especially given that the broader context has 36 people present to perform a cubed hex.

What happens if you cast a spell at an invalid target? For example, Iobel has a 41-second knockout spell; what happens if she tries to cast it on a plant, a rock, a corpse, or a daeva?
