DanielH, which colours are you saying are too close? Honestly, the flag whose parts I have the most trouble distinguishing in the current list is Carmine/Palatinate, even though they're really different hues, because they're both so dark.

Looking at Kappa’s post, I think ErinFlight probably needs a secondary color, and it would be nice if a few other people throughout the spectrum choose them as well. Somebody else in greenspace, maybe somebody in bluespace, and somebody else in purplespace.

I think he meant AndaisQ

I agree that mine are pretty difficult to distinguish (which is in fact rather weird, because earlier I'm pretty sure I was fine distinguishing them), but they should be different enough from other colors that one of them works to distinguish me from another author, I think.

I believe I would like #1a2196 for my secondary color, because I am terribly boring and don't like how other colors look next to the specific shade of blue that is mine. So, I'm adding more blue. Blue is my color, I have accepted it, it's got my scent all over it, its mother will never take it back now.
That being said, I actually like Lin's idea a lot - three letter tags, maybe with colors attached to each letter? It seems tidy and easy to expand.

███ Aestrix: Blue, #0080FF (Navy, #1a2196)
I'm not in favour of the three-letter tags, mainly because I'd rather just use the authors' names as text identifiers if there are going to be text identifiers.

I did mean AndaisQ with my too close comment. I can distinguish everybody else’s flag, including Throne3d’s relatively easily.
Except that I have a hard time distinguishing Copper (ErinFlight) from either Tan (PDV) or Orange (Anthusiasm).
Edit: homophones

Well starting up 2-1 color system is a bit better now. I said that more or less when it was "installing text replacers to get sized emoticon balls for colors". Like, we can atleast go somewhere with like Blue->green or something as long as we let others secondary a primary. Otherwise we will launch straight into color-deficit HARD. That's why I proposed something that isn't just 'add another color' to the list.
Also, some people I haven't seen show up on the daily report at all. Stating the totally mean thing; do we remove people's colors if they don't have stuff for quite awhile? I haven't gone digging up like, "offline for 6mo" dates or anything but maybe it's a point?

I can take lavender instead.

Having a look at redspace...
███ Timepoof: Rose, #FF91BF
███ AndaisQ: Pink, #FF4080 (Rose, #FF91BF)
███ Pedro: Salmon, #ff5c5c (Peach, #FFB25C)
███ lintamande: Candy, #FF0000
███ Marri: Red, #BF4040
███ Throne3d: Carmine, #960018 (Palatinate, #682860)
I find Pink and Rose easy to tell apart from each other, whether in the same or adjacent flags, but if AndaisQ's fine with lavender, then:
███ AndaisQ: Pink, #FF4080 (Lavender, #C080FF)
That is easier.
Also, lintamande said she'd be okay with changing colours, so here are some possible alternate shades with possible secondaries:
███ Lintamande: Candy, #E50505 (Sunlight, #fff88d)
███ Lintamande: Candy, #E4000b (Mist, #d4a697)
███ Lintamande: Candy, #f20e02 (Morning, #e17a40)
███ Lintamande: Cinnabar, #E34234 (Smoke, #693834)
