Okay, now I'm feeling insecure. Without the benefit of hindsight, was announcing Aestrix as the traitor here and calling for her death the right thing to do? (With the benefit of hindsight, it's looking like an increasingly bad decision.) At the time I posted, it looked like she was going to survive, and I didn't want to cut it any closer both because the deadline was imminent and I had a meeting starting at 12 (18 minutes before the deadline).
Re: Spam spam spam
I don't know, but, since you were right, I think it might have been an okay call. but it depends on how she would have flipped. If she would have flipped MAFIA TRAITOR then we would have had a big problem on our hands because they could have looked for the people who were trying to save her and probably found us too so you made the right call. If she would have flipped TALYN / TOWN ALIGNED / INDEPENDENT then you should have said oh well we tried our best, maybe advocating us to try to cover ourselves, then nightkilled her (and you should have done the kill yourself since we all trust you).
that's what I think.
either way, we'll pull through.

Re: Spam spam spam
In retrospect, I think that probably waiting until nightfall and then revealing your suspicions so that we could kill her ourselves without tipping off any of the townspeople what was going on would have been better, but I don't think that doing what you did was bad - it had a pretty reasonable chance of working, if Aestrix hadn't seen and decided to claim traitor, and her dying to lynch definitely would have been better than her dying to nightkill. Especially given that you had an earlier deadline to work with than the rest of us, I think you probably made the right decision with the information you had at the time?

note to self: when this is all over, or possibly pre-emptively before it's over, ask to see kappa's spreadsheet. say something like "hi kappa i am really curious about the spreadsheet you used during this game to keep track of your opinions of people and i understand if it's private and if you don't want to share it's that fine but you seemed super organised this game and i think seeing an example of how somebody else thinks might be helpful to me in the future for my own keeping track of things purposes." If pre-emptively, make sure to be clear that we don't want to see it before the game is over or at least until we're both in the dead player's channel.
It seems like some people are really good at getting an accurate gut feeling on others (even on the first day), and overall most people are better than random chance at it, but I'm actually personally worse at it than random chance so I'm curious about other people's technological replacements for having feelings about things.
