Three years is an incredibly long time to have the mental block stay around considering it took Keo all of a couple minutes to apply it. A lot of the other stipulations were super-troubling and general too, but that stood out as the most by far.

Is Sable an original character or does she come from some other work of fiction?

Sable is a female Miles transplanted into a different Bujold series (Sharing Knife).

Yes, but Isabella is not in the mood to be reading contracts carefully at the moment. She can fly in daylight, she does not care much about the overbroad/overlong Geas. Three years did not immediately provoke a 'no this is terrible' reaction given that that was how long she expected to stay, anyway.

Once Isabella is done being sideswiped by the fact that one of the things that has kept reminding her that she's not really a person just stopped existing she may start paying attention to what she's done to her brain.

There's this one, and the one me and kappa are doing where an extrapolated future of that Sable meets a Demon Cam.
