This is not edited in response to any new non-spoilered stuff. I did see those thou.
suspicions
1. futurevision is still on top of my suspect list.
The almost total lack of any self defence on their part does make me wonder thou.
2. Tulip for non-voting last turn.
Also for not voting Aestrix on day 1 and generally not having many opinions.
3. Pistachi0n
started the last minute backslide to tau.
was my suspect before and the same reasons apply.
4. jalapeno_dude
for being slightly intense about lists.
I approve with the methods but not the goal.
(thou I don't hold for precom-editing that was going on. Once a commitment is made it should be made. For such massed things there should be discussion first about the final form before anyone takes a vow.)
5. anthusiasum
Same reasons as before.
Only a weak suspicion, thou.
Okay, I'm not sure if I did this right, so if someone could check if it's right that would be really cool. Also, I assume days are still 72 hours?
But here's a countdown, because there should be one of those.
@futurevision
I would be willing to postpone voting for you for a day.
If you can in fact demonstrate a working vote that is information I would very much like to take into account.
I would very much have liked to have that yesterday and do not understand why you didn't choose to demonstrate.
I recommend voting for someone no-one else is voting for to make it clear your vote doesn't vanish.
Also vote for someone as soon as possible. You can change it later if you wish.
I will only move to next likely candidate after you have posted a vote and I will move back to you if you post a redaction.
I will not make the precommit against last minute things today because I want to be able to vote for you if you redact.
I will have a vote for you ready and typed in case you redact at last minute.
But I will give you one more chance to prove me wrong. My suspicion of you is largely based on the theory that you don't have a vote.
@Tulip
Voting for someone demonstrates that you can.
Not voting gives us no information.
I did think this was pretty clear.
I really like that you actually formed suspicions today. It does make me suspect you a little bit less.
That is well reasoned if incorrect about me.
I don't consider myself hugely valuable or I wouldn't have done what I did.
That I did let things get as far as I did is a good point against me.
I can only say that I am human to that.
I expect many of you to match me intellectually and thought others must be seeing what I am seeing. I expected others to put a stop to it and that was a mistake.
@jalapeno_dude
The undercutting is because I realized I was steamrolling over anthusiasum when they were clearly putting effort into their list and wanted to make one.
I know I come off harsh sometimes but I do not wish to actually be a bastard.
At that time I thought I had made the importance of lying in them clear enough that the enemy couldn't take them at face value anyway.
@Shoal
Not claiming probably would have been slightly better, but it would have taken time I didn't feel like I had.
The commitment thing came as a surprise to me and I do expect those to hold because mine would.
After being 'undercover' the sudden change would have outed me as a power anyway. I lost little by including the name and I did think it increased the credibility. I do feel bad about invalidating that part of many lists thou.
I started the last minute voting for Tau on day 2 because after futurevision logged on and said something, I realized I didn't have much time left but I didn't think she was as suspicious.
I had been voting for tau before someone brought up the demons, the reasons for my suspicion can be found in those posts but clearly I was wrong. Someone brought up the subject of demons, I got caught up in the excitement and voted for futurevision based on "she hasn't talked all day." When she said something, I believed her that she was busy so switched my vote back to who I had found suspicious in the first place.
Looking back on it, it does bug me that futurevision went 3 days without voting.
I recall you also joined the Tau bandwagon. You even said in a previous post that you thought he was probably innocent but were voting for him because it had a chance of winning. So you voted for someone you thought was innocent?
After the post I linked to, you switched your vote around a few times and then voted tau again, also at the last minute.
Not innocent. I didn't have evidence either way.
I was suspecting you at the time. For being way overconfident about lists.
from my notes:
- "It's only after death that we find out which one of their speculations was their actual power, and what can the mafia do about it then? Kill them even more?"
- Votes no lynch day 1.
It was weak evidence but I did consider it better than nothing.
But I had no chance of getting you lynched. Thus tau was a better option.
The last minute flip was a mistake I won't be doing again unless my intent to do so is stated well in advance when I have a clear head.
If you suspected me, why did you jump on the bandwagon I started?(edited to make the phrasing more clear) You said you voted for tau because it was likely to make a difference. Why didn't you vote for PDV?
Why not vote for me just to make a statement even though I was unlikely to get lynched? It would have come down to THE COIN and tau or PDV would have gotten lynched anyway.
What I'm trying to say is, I voted for Tau because I genuinely thought he was guilty. Yes, I was wrong, and yes, I regret it. But you? You voted for tau because there was already a bandwagon. You voted for tau because it was easy.
Huh. I had to go back and check. It was originally your wagon.
That does make me suspect you less.
I just knew the wagon existed and you started the backslide.
I don't think statement voting is very valuable. It isn't any more effective than writing a post and it costs town a vote.
I do object to calling my first voting for tau easy. My candidate wasn't getting any support so it was a lost cause.
I didn't have any resources to make it not be so.
Abandoning lost causes is the right thing to do. Maybe if the evidence was better I would have fought harder for it.
The last vote for tau was because semi-trustworthy people were telling me I was making a mistake and I do know I make those especially under time pressure so I believed them.
Guys, the presence of spoiler boxes in every post makes it very hard to find where I left off reading the thread, and clicking them open is annoying. Calm down with the boxes.
