Wait when did the brainphone get a graphics upgrade? It’s been through a few revisions but I don’t think that was any of them. Or are you just giving it to the specific version in Stranded?

I'm pretty sure the brainphone's current version is said to support images but I haven't the faintest clue where in the text it says that.

I know they were considering that upgrade but I didn't think they'd actually done it.

I have a vague recollection that the brainphone is image-supporting but I don't know why I think that or when it was(n't) established.

Could Glass figure out more about Etty being a swan if she looked at it the other way around? That is, instead of asking “Why was the bird this Bell turned into a swan?”, if she asked “Why was the person who was turned into a swan a Bell?”.

Relatedly, would you have bothered Effulging Crane Lake, if Tchaikovsky had written that ballet instead?

Glass is at the limits of her abilities to determine things about Etty turning into a swan.

Kappa says that it being swans did bring the ballet more to her attention than otherwise but I think we definitely might have done Crane Lake.

Didn't Stella and Alice break up at some point over the vampire venom thing? If I'm remembering correctly they're back together again but it's at least some precedent for a Bell breakup.

They did not. Stella was worried that when Alice stopped being a vampire he would be angry enough to break up but that didn’t happen.

I am re-reading some late Effulgence stuff and I realise that I have no idea what powers everyone actually has except for the obvious minting-enchanting-torching-teleportation-brainphone-mind upgrades-no sleep. There should be, like, a list of peal-standard stuff and a list of what people have in addition or whatever.
