The actual content takes away some of my desire to cheer, but still yay Effulgence!

Is Winter still addicted to magic jellybeans? If so, is it contributing to the despair or is it a separate problem?

Winter is still totally addicted to magic jellybeans and it sure isn't helping anything.

We're considering skimming over the rest of the golden age (to when James and Eve are like 25) without onscreening much more anything. Every year we onscreen is another set of Christmas presents, and we're really having trouble with those. Are there any things that y'all would be upset to have missed of James and Eve's reign, that you think we ought to onscreen at the cost of rapidity?

I would like to see first contact with Archenland and Calormen, because so far I don’t think they’ve encountered any humans in the Narnia world other than themselves.

Which is a bit surprising, I’d expect them to have at least encountered Archenland before.

If there's not going to be much more new and different Winter Angst, I personally wouldn't mind you skimming.

I think I mentioned Archenland somewhere. We weren't going to Do Much with it.

Ah, yeah, you did. I expected there to be an event when they discovered there were more than two humans in this world. They had talked about considering actually going and importing some from Earth, after all.

In any case I can’t think of anything else that I would mind you skipping over. I doubt that the events of The Horse and His Boy are important enough to Narnia to cover even if you do want them to happen mostly unchanged, and they don’t have enough international political capital to do much about the Calormen slave trade except consider it another ongoing problem.
