After thinking about the mod-message this does seem like a reasonable thing.

I don't have anything important to say, but I do want everyone to know I'm still here so we don't end up in a situation like last time. I'm up for voting for michaelblume if we don't find a replacement any time soon. I'm just nervous that he could be a dragon and we won't actually do anything impactful with today's kill.

Alphabeta, I think I understand your logic for withdrawing your vote for modrony (you concluded that them saying your guess about demons was wrong and objecting to your vote against them meant they did not in fact want to be killed, which went against the objective you'd hypothesized that demon-possessed people had, which meant that they were not a demon). But, if I have indeed correctly reproduced your logic, you should note that it's not actually sound. Modrony did not *actually* say that they didn't want to be killed, just that something about in your post about demon-possessed people wasn't correct. And, more importantly, concluding that they aren't acting according to your model of what a demon-possessed person does *doesn't* meant that they aren't actually demon-possessed, unless you actually know what the *actual* rules for demonic possession are (in which case you should share them!) This whole exchange makes me more suspicous of both modrony (a little) and you (substantially).

This is correct. (Both the part about what I believe and that I'm correct about it, I claim--we would be better off if we knew what powers Rhysel had had.) Other than that I think I am done arguing about this.

i guess i'm willing to vote michaelblume if it makes things easier
i am baffled and concerned by modrony's behavior lately, though. it seems very erratic and kindof out of character?

I am not a demon nor do I wish to be killed.
I do expect to be, in the night, but there is little I can do about that at this point.
I did object to the part of the speculation that said: "Do not tell them this thing"
There is a sliding scale between hinting and telling. None can say where one ends and the other begins. Only where the ends are.
There can be no wincon that says "do not tell them you are a demon" because then I would go "i hjam y dhjemod" and instawin with one post.
Every wincon needs to be able to be accurately judged on in the end. It's either fulfilled or not, there can be no grey ground.

I may have been letting the excitement get to me a bit.
The impending doom doesn't really help. I do feel like I have to get all my thoughts out before the end.
I will attempt to calm down.

Do not temper your excitement. Apathy benefits the mafia. If town does not care and loses interest in the game, then we will not look closely and will not put effort in and that makes it easier for mislynches to happen. There /can/ be too much of a good thing, but the other extreme is much worse, and unfun, and I think whatever side any of us are on, the goal should be to have fun and to keep things on the fun side for everyone.
If someone isn't having fun or is feeling apathy they shouldn't feel guilty on top of that, because it's not their fault. All I'm saying is that people should not try to be less excited than they are, and that strategies that rely on making the game less fun shouldn't be employed by either side.
(I have seen such strategies from both sides, but not here: on the town side there is the "be really mean and say things that are below the belt to see if people react in a scummy way" strategy and on the mafia side there is the town apathy strategy.)

@modrony i've been mostly chalking it up to caged-rat behavior - ie, since you roleclaimed a power role, you expect to die tonight (though i'm honestly a bit confused about why you claimed), because your posts don't really seem to be like... incoherent with a purpose? but if you are trying to get all your thoughts out before the end, it would be much more helpful for us to have them be a little easier to follow. i totally get the impulse; last game when i thought i was likely to die soon, i tried to give the best hints could and they ended up being much too subtle and no one noticed them. but right now you are mostly just being confusing (to me, at least, maybe someone else is understanding perfectly)

Tamien, why *did* you expect to die soon in the Effulgence game? I killed you completely accidentally while trying to kill kuu...
