As somebody who is myself pan, I agree. I can understand pansexuality and asexuality, but I don’t think I even have a switch in my brain that cares about gender like that and I’m not sure I can model it correctly.

The pan part was what was relevant to the in-threaf discussion at the moment; I did not mean to imply he had no other components to his sexuality.

It's part of what sounds so eminently rational to Kib about it, that not only will his husband not rule people out based on "gender" or "being a mushroom-creature" or other things like that, he will not afford them *positive* consideration in advance of knowing who the fuck they are for having a nice ass or whatever either.

When she found out Idaia was a magic reincarnated princess her reaction was to declare that her life was a fantasy novel and Idaia was obviously the protagonist so she had better stick close so as to be a deuteragonist rather than a minor character.
Risky strategy. Deuteragonists have a higher mortality rate than minor characters you only see in chapter one.
