People's abilities to visualize things in their heads are discussed. Throne can imagine a red triangle with no difficulty, typically imagines vague stuff until he thinks about how it's vague, and then details fill in. People are okay. ErinFlight… imagines vague images for people's facial expressions, not a particular one. She didn't know people could visualize things like that and it's kinda weirding her out.
There's a more extreme version where you can't visualize things at all, called 'aphantasia'.

Throne's visual things are not super detailed, but then if he focuses on a thing, it gets more detail and there's a sort of vague feeling as though it was always like that and was never not that way, it's just that he wasn't looking properly. He's confused. Can apparently stop the scenes from getting more detail, sort of.
ErinFlight and Moriwen are more about tactile things. Throne is not, but is not super bad at tactile things or anything.
An example of a mug hitting a table in a TV show is given. Throne was imagining a specific table and a specific mug from a TV show that he just watched, and it was empty and the table was wood and it definitely felt a particular way. Moriwen had it feel a particular way but it was half-full of water and also ceramic and damp-ish but the visuals were not really specified. ErinFlight's was empty and felt a particular way but not much else was specified.

If Lambda's online at the time to ask, yeah, or if we plan on holding those channels for the near future, but otherwise it probably shouldn't be automated because it could result in weird behavior (and might be difficult to set up).
Alternatively the participants of the chat could log it themselves and put the chat online somewhere? If people are curious about #carmine, there are logs available in the same folder as the ones for #glowfic since I asked Lambda to put MotherStarlight there about when it started.

Or maybe instead of "novelty" channels like #quendi they could be named boring things like #glowficb and #glowficc and MS could be in all of them and people could use whichever was open.

How hard would it be for Mother Starlight to listen for messages like "Mother Starlight log #foobar" and have her join and begin logging #foobar? Is there anything needed beyond having her join the channel?

That sounds like a feature that could be abused (as in: log channels that object to logging) if there are no restrictions on either who can make the request or what channel names it would join.
