is how entertaining they were for you as an author to write a same question (with same problem) or a different question?

Bells don't have Milliways-door-getting as a stable feature; they get them as plot demands, more or less. And I don't remember off the top of my head how often the plot has demanded it for most Bells. So that list would be neither interesting nor readily assembled, sorry.

Do you mean how entertaining each was to write in their unpealed state or how fun it is to drop into their voice as of now?

I need more specificity on what you mean by openness to new friendships. What counts as a friendship as opposed to something else and what counts as openness thereto?

Now, I want to know about both.

I dont know, maybe a friendship could be defined as "can enjoy one hour with this person, for non belling reasons"... and openess is measure on how much effort (resources, time) the bell would invest to make a friendship and maintain one...

Fun-ness to write, unpealed, subject to vagaries of memory, most to least, counting only bits that we have actually gotten around to writing, not including Pattern because she was never unpealed:

Golden
Juliet
Revelation
Angela
T'Mir
Iobel
Loki
Katie
Ice
Aegis
Rapunzel
Aether
Shell Bell
Aya (Sphere)
Eve
Kiri
Maurabel
Aurora
Phoenix
Etty
Unnicknamed Phaetonbell
Glass
Shara
Clarity
Sarion
Astrid
Tab
Cam (Cooper)
Phix
Amariah (Dreamer)
Flicker
Aya (Spring)
Stella
Chi
Stormy
Rose
Ace
Izzy
Cymbeline
Butterfly

Fun-ness to write in current voice (I will rank only the peals, and separately, because this is the only way I can make straightforward comparisons), most to least, Effulgence version:

Shell Bell
Juliet
Aegis
Glass
Sarion
Cam
Aether
Angela
Pattern
Tab
Aurora
Rose
Etty
Stella
Golden

Incandescence peal-so-far version:

Ice
Spring
Iobel

I'm having a really hard time getting a handle on the friendship question and can't articulate why.

Butterfly always loses in everything.

Interesting that Golden went from top to bottom, do you dislike her now because she's sort of just done? She certainly has a much higher wordcount than any other Bell. Did you like her more when writing her due to familiarity, or because her conflicts were so fleshed out and protracted?

I had a tremendous amount of fun writing her novels, and now she's sort of stiff relative to the others because she's older and ossified. She also didn't have any competition at the time.

I am not surprise she is at bottom now, and I agree with her stiffness. Even other Aurum characters are sort of stiff-by-association (so much, that pretty much all interesting things that happen to them are imported from other worlds).

I am surprised that Butterfly it is lowest, why is that? I thought you enjoyed being a crime-against-humanity-jerk against your bells, and Butterfly situation is so tailor made to play into Bell's fears :3

Butterfly's psychology is fun to play with, but her situation has generated difficult serious meta-conversation that made it less pleasant.
