… I would personally not like this feature, I don't think, so if it were implemented I'd want it to be user toggleable.

Yeah, not my thing either. But obviously if a bunch of people would find it helpful then it would be good to have as an option.
(Have I mentioned lately how much I appreciate all the work you guys do on the Constellation? I keep being annoyed by how other sites behave and thinking "I should ask Marri to change that" and then "....oh, right".)

You can hack that by setting the per-page to 10, if you don't need the preloading, maybe.

I've been kind of wanting the opposite of this, a button on each post (or every few, whatever) that you can click and tell it you haven't read anything past that point.

+1
One for "I read this" and one for "I haven't" as a user option.

… Ooh, actually I like the idea of "haven't read past this" – usually if I've loaded too much I just mark it as unread and then load the page before where I got to, then I'm pretty close to where I need to be.
I'm not sure where it should go on the interface, though. Presumably next to the permalink button, but if there are going to be a bunch of things in the top corner of a post it might be better to do it differently? (Along with the edit and delete buttons if it's your post and it's– well, I was thinking it would presumably be there with those but I guess it doesn't need to be, so actually maybe never mind here.)

Updates:
- The content warning icon in the post list now actually specifies the content warning(s) if you hover over it
- Views are now properly destroyed when posts/continuities are, so if you have ignored a post that was later deleted your Hidden page won't crash
- New post privacy option: visible only to logged in Constellation users
So right now you can only organize a continuity that contains sections, and then only the sections can be ordered. I'm actually basically done with "let people intermix posts and sections when organizing their continuity" (because that's what happens when I get asked to fly six hours for a business trip with five hours warning) and I'll probably roll a quick "give your continuity a description" feature into that build before I release it. BUT! You know what I don't have, before I can call it done? A DESIGN. If I use the existing continuity view design, and there's a non-section post ordered between two sections, it's literally impossible to tell if the post belongs in the preceding section or if it's a stand alone post between the two sections. Nor do I know where to put the continuity description. It's possible I will have to sacrifice the table structure entirely, but then my post display is inconsistent and ughhhhhh. WHY IS DESIGN A THING.
"I have read up to this post" button is a good call; I will consider how to design it. Quick version will probably be to just use the same eye icon I use for "mark unread" as a "Mark unread after this point" button but that seems plausibly confusing so I may need to do the ICON DEBATE again.
I had not considered dark layouts with the unread button; I apologize. I will change it to bullet for dark layouts when I next have a chance.
Also, <333333s for everyone.
