There's a strong sense of character to him - like, he seems to have a well-defined, appropriately complex personality. He reacts in plausible and interesting ways to bizarre goings-on. He seems to inhabit a corner of personalityspace not previously explored in depth in glowfic.

I originally thought of him as "Bell-lite" but he acquired more personality over time, yes.
