Kappa, has everyone made role lists? I don't remember who hasn't made them yet, but maybe a few people haven't. I was just thinking it would help if PDV had made a more detailed one or if we had more to go on. we don't know if we've seen the last of demon deaths or not :/

I haven't made one yet! I intend to make one before the day is over, but I have been very busy with homework and I would like to have a substantial list so people don't guess my role.

jalapeno_dude was right. It does hurt to not read the spoilers.
So, I will post mine so I can read them. I am glad I had these prepared.
I was intending to wait so I could make sure to not influence anyone who hadn't had the chance to prepare yet, but I will just have to trust in your will. This way should be faster anyways.
suspicions
1. Ho boy does futurevision look guilty!
- Shows up with 10 minutes in the clock. Convenient.
- Instantly on top of things after allegedly being away for a long time.
- Very mild reaction to being wagoned. (Expectation of survival? Dragon?)

explicit a-word at last minute. Created the tie.
Planning to frame PDV to avoid killing a bomb?
Trying to save PDV?
Has to abstain?
Very suspicious thing to do at last minute after the discussion we had.

Might be time-panic but does not convey panic.
"travelling a lot" then suddenly "prom." Isn't prom in the middle of school year?

2. Pistachi0n
started the last minute backslide to tau.
was my suspect before and the same reasons apply.

3. Kappa
For allegedly forgetting that PDV tried to a-word
Then jumping back to tau even when PDV was behaving uncharastically.
Being too damn convincing damnit! (Yes, emotions sometimes affect who I suspect)

4. anthusiasum
"If explicit abstention is out of character for PDV, that might not be because he's mafia. It might just be a restriction on his role."
This is true, but unlikely to be the case. (this was written before the daybreak so it isn't because of the confirmation of PDVs villainy)
Was present at the end but kept on voting for michaelblume.
One of my original suspects was dead so I removed that one.

Can we all agree that still not having a listpost is extremely anti-Town, probably more so than a last-minute revelation? (The latter can be caused by any number of things, from RL responsibilities to not knowing you need to defend yourself until then because you've been abstaining from reading spoilers to simply panicking and not wanting to die.)

I can't use bold in this thread to denote emphasis, so I will use italics instead:

I commit to voting for someone who has not posted a listpost, assuming that is true of anyone at the end of the day. At the point people seem to have started voting I will pick someone from the subset of the people quoted above who have not posted listposts by that time. Should the person I am voting for post an acceptable listpost, I will switch to another player without a listpost if one still exists, and continue this process until no one with listposts is left is necessary. I will leave myself two loopholes: 1) if someone is clearly revealed as anti-Town before the point I post my vote I *may* vote for them instead. 2) I reserve the right to switch from someone with no listpost to someone with a listpost if I think it absolutely necessary, but in this case I will be absolutely clear about why I am doing so.

I hope other people will commit to doing the same thing.

Modrony, glad you've come around to my way of thinking. :p I want to defend one of the people you've mentioned a little bit:
omg spoilers
"Might be time-panic but does not convey panic.
"travelling a lot" then suddenly "prom." Isn't prom in the middle of school year?"
At least in the US, prom is typically towards the end of the school year; now seems like a reasonable time to be having it. More generally, I think lying about RL as an excuse in Mafia is Unsporting and Shouldn't Be Done. That doesn't mean futurevision didn't do it, of course, but it would surprise me. There are more than enough reasons to be suspicious of futurevision without bringing RL into it anyway. :p

Shoal, do you mind writing up some statement in italics? You could copy-paste mine if you're lazy. I think the ritual will make people more likely to follow through.

I agree that not having a list is anti town.
I do feel the last minute thing is worse thou.
All of those people are somewhat suspicious for other reasons thou, so you may have a point
I like the idea of using a precommitment to enforce conduct.
On some other day I might be with you. Today I do feel I have a strong candidate I am likely to vote for.

I don't really get the precommitment thing. I think it's a cultural thing I'm missing out on. I see it as tying the hands of my future self who will have more knowledge, information, and sense than I have, and the only way to get around that is to leave loopholes so wide I might as well have not committed to doing anything at all.

But it looks like I'm in the minority about this so, sure, I currently intend to vote for futurevision, michaelblume, anthusiasm, and/or Alphabeta, sequentially, removing those that have since composed listposts from the pool, switching to somebody from an entirely different pool of suspects if they should seem more scummy, and if one of them composes a listpost I'll vote the next in line. But I am hoping I won't have to vote for anthusiasm, who I'm townreading on her own merits.
