Huh, I was almost certain that Luc and Luke (Synthropy) connection was mentioned durign a party? My probably fake memory was that Cam mentioned that a dog attacked Luke or something.

If necessary, I suppose you could use Lukes as a "standard green apprentice template" instead of just a "bell-apprentice template"

I am vaguely curious about what Luc is being up to, but that is just a general curiosity about the rest of Reviere.

Sarion doesn't have one.

I think Cam's Luke was mentioned in narration only and hasn't come to parties. (Doesn't help that he's a kid and his parents might not want him to leave the universe.)

Luc is up to miscellaneous helpful enchanting in a sort of junior-Bellish sense in what on earth would be Egypt.

Okay, so I misremember about Sarion. I’m curious to see what caused this confusion when I get to rereading Sarion’s time during the Second Jane Outage.

Other Bells have talked about apprentices (Narnian monarchs, Inferno Revelation, etc.) but none actually got them. I suppose it would still be possible for the Narnians to, but that seemed unlikely even before you said you didn’t plan on it.

I first thought about this when thinking that T’Mir could get an apprentice for competent fire delivery if she hadn’t been caught, and realizing that there’s an important character in Star Trek canon with a name based on Luke. There are about a dozen reasons it wouldn’t be a good idea to turn Jean-Luc into a Luke, of course.

There was a Lucas, played by Harrison Ford, who talked to Ike at the space plant party, is he this template?

Nah. There's just only so many Biblical names.

I was vaguely assuming he was a canon character that you liked at impressionable age

I'm rereading Effulgence kind of out of order, and can I just say I think it's hilarious that Stella described a Hypothetical Terrorist Bell, and then said that she wouldn't want to just hand over power to such a person, and then Shell Bell happened, and Shell Bell was Hypothetical Terrorist Bell, down to (consensually) harming a Joker for resources, and Stella just minted her without thinking twice.

There are a few cases where something somebody said in Effulgence shortly precedes it happening, in real life author time. Aether also happened shortly after somebody said that No Questions Elfhood was probably not literally the most unBellish culture possible.

I did not remember that detail about not wanting to hand her power right away and then doing so.

I've had a vague sense that Bells keep attempting to be the Hypothetical Terrorist Bell and then don't because Reasons. (Where Reasons may just be 'actually that was not as interesting to write as it sounded'). Butterfly and, IIRC, Lorica as well being the others.
