How do you pronounce Cearl and Gothel?

I pronounce them Sörl (rhymes with pearl) and Götl (rhymes with myrtle). I probably pronounce them wrong :)

Gothel is a canon name. It's Goth as in the black-wearing subculture and el as in, um, L, emphasis on the first syllable.

Cearl is pronounced sort of like "cereal" smashed into one syllable. Seerl.

I am excited about the Vorkosigan Saga being templated, but I am not done reading the books. At what point in the books may I safely read the Vorkosigan threads without being spoiled? Put another way because I think I may have phrased that confusingly: which Vorkosigan books are the source material for the Vorkosigan threads?

The Vorkosigan threads will be starting with the opening section of Cetaganda (where we now are), deviating from canon a little ways in, and proceeding forward from there through variously altered versions of all major canon plot events in subsequent books.
