This is an issue that came about probably because you're set as the coauthor of the board and someone else is the 'author' – when it tries to show the coauthor, it shows the coauthor of the board (you), and this works fine for the 'author' (your coauthor) when they view it, but for you, you're not in the dropdown so it gets confused and displays the wrong value. Then if you set it to your coauthor, it ends up having, e.g., "Author: Kappa; Coauthor: Kappa" (was: "Author: Kappa; Coauthor: Aestrix"), meaning you're no longer on the list of people who are authors.Aestrix wrote:Though, I am confused on the functionality of the continuities page, specifically the part with 'coauthor.' It says 'open to anyone' when it's definitively not, and I can only add one name for the coauthor, and then when I submit my coauthor it erases my name and has my coauthor as the sole proprietor. Maybe I'm just like, failing to understand functionality? But this seems like a major design flaw.
Pretty sure they already have threads? Like here has a list of my threads.pedromvilar wrote:And/or the person's threads.
I don't think there's an issue for this exactly, but there's an issue for "more complete object detail pages" (e.g. birthdays or locations or such for a character) which should probably stretch to this. I'll add it as a note.pedromvilar wrote:Although I think a sort of "author page" à la master posts is in the to-do list as well, for people to organise how they want to present their threads.
Is the author-coauthor paradigm going to be replaced with something more sensible?Throne3d wrote:This is an issue that came about probably because you're set as the coauthor of the board and someone else is the 'author' – when it tries to show the coauthor, it shows the coauthor of the board (you), and this works fine for the 'author' (your coauthor) when they view it, but for you, you're not in the dropdown so it gets confused and displays the wrong value. I'd expect so but I haven't actually heard yes/no on this. There's an issue on the tracker for allowing many coauthors, so I'd expect it to be replaced with something more sensible across the board, yeah.Kappa wrote:Is the author-coauthor paradigm going to be replaced with something more sensible?
