I was reading both the new Narnia Effulgence and some old Effulgence today. King James and Queen Isabella had just gotten married, and I idly wondered how old they actually were at that point but didn’t bother to figure it out. Since there was no more Narnia stuff then, I switched back to the old Effulgence I was reading. Immediately, the first sentence I read said that Bella was eight, and I freaked out about that being too young for her to marry James before my brain remembered that it was a different Bella at a different time.

Edit: removed paragraph which was just blatantly false. I had thought something said they were nine when they went through the wardrobe and was confused, but I checked again and it said 10.

I believe the question is why that Charlie was willing to go to Mars when most aren’t even willing to go to Arizona, and related to the question of why they stayed married until Bella was 11 instead of divorcing when Bella was a baby.

Those were just nudges I had to make to get her on Mars how I wanted; I didn't have particularly specific perturbations in mind and probably won't until it comes up onscreen.

DanielH was correct about my question; I was remembering the thread where you described under what circumstances Charlies and Renees will and won't stay together.

I think the world is called Opportunity, and is the one where the Swans migrate to Mars.

It might be the least-threaded Effulgence world, at one thread with 65 comments and (I believe) no sandboxen. The title of the thread is earth/mars.

Does Winter sleep? If so, he seems to be having a run of bad luck with his dreams.
