Re: Sandbox Discussions
Do you have a mechanism for Milo suddenly showing up, like you do Mark?

Re: Sandbox Discussions
Milo was spat out by a weird Chronicle cave.
Marri checked with me and I, a Toronto resident nominally well up on the geography of my city, didn't know what she was talking about until she named the church by its actual name. But someone else who knew that specific area better might have done fine.

Re: Sandbox Discussions
Also, they are not actually at the church. Alli provided it as "this is a nearby landmark" when May was asking how far away Avalon is. The actual address of actual Avalon was hand waved cause it doesn't exist xD

I mean, I was tempted to have it be Hollywood datelessness, but... Tina Fey. If it was just sexual she'd either go for it or write it off, but ????ROMANCE??????
It is weird to ship Leo and Milo?
I wonder if "suddenly shows up in another world" could become a common theme in Radon Absinthe
Shipping Leo and Milo is perfectly acceptable! Leo is doing it fervently. Unfortunately, Leo is profoundly neurotic and borders on undateable, so it's probably not in the cards. I suspect that the only person who could sustain a relationship with Leo indefinitely would be an m!Suzanna, and that feels vaguely incestuous.
Re: Sandbox Discussions
i tried google but i can't figure out what hollywood datelessness means. does it mean that hollywood characters don't have ages or something else?

Re: Sandbox Discussions
I think "Hollywood datelessness" might be along the lines of "this person, who is exceptionally attractive by the broader standards of the population because they are played by a Hollywood actor and written as a movie character, nevertheless is coded as unattractive and has trouble getting dates for story reasons". But I'm not sure.
Re: Sandbox Discussions
Hmmm. I think that might actually be reasonable: if you look around, everybody in that world is played by a Hollywood actor and any lines you hear are written as a movie character would be. If everybody looks and sounds like Hollywood actors/characters, then looking or sounding like a Hollywood character isn’t going to get you any dates.
Re: Sandbox Discussions
oh, dates like going out with other people, not dates like thursday.
I wasn't think about whether she was attractive conventionally (She's not my type, to the extent that i have a type, which is more of a mild preference than anything), just that I had been reading her as a 40 or 50 year old woman and then all of sudden she turned into a teenage girl. There's nothing wrong with being a teenage girl when you are one, but it's disturbing to see an older person behaving like a younger person, kind of an uncanny valley thing. like all the lifeexperience of 50 years just vanishes into a pocket dimension. Just looked up her on wikipedia because I had no idea who she was and apparently she's 44 so I wasn't too far off.

Also, my glass comment is a reference to the tendecy for this characters to have easy makeovers that usually are just "take off the glasses and change the hair".30 Rock: Liz Lemon (Tina Fey). This is lampshaded in the episode "Cleveland". Liz goes to Ohio and is offered a modeling contract and is complimented by people on the street.
Jenna: We're all models west of the Allegheny.
Not even a little of not-vaguely erotic bloodsucking? *Hopeful eyes*AndaisQ wrote:Shipping Leo and Milo is perfectly acceptable! Leo is doing it fervently. Re: Sandbox Discussions
And speaking of bloodsucking, is the Elcenian vampire religion against drinking blood from somebody who does not consent, or drinking blood not from somebody who consents? There’s a big difference for Leekath here.
EDIT: I put this here because it’s more sandbox discussion than asking for a spoiler, especially because I think the answer is made clear in canon and I just forgot. I know Leekath didn’t have a religious issue with drinking the potion to become a kama, but that might be different.
