Teah has access to the entire universe he is in at any given moment.

Adelene wrote:My intuition actually says that Heaven, Hell, and Limbo are in some sense closer to Earth than, say, Alpha Centauri is. This is obviously very incorrect in the usual sense, but the sense in which it is true could still be the relevant one.

(Also, Teah is a Joker; it isn't especially unlikely that he'd consider Preservation the more important problem regardless. Or multitask.)
Oooh, I think I understand? At least, I am thinking in terms of coordinates, except instead of accounting only for the tridimensional location, you add another dimension to account for the "distance" between dimensions?

Also, random curiosity: what happens if you burn a coppermind? Your stored memory gets more vivid? you lose the stored memory but gain a temporary memory boost?

That is a sufficiently good question that when someone asked the author he refused to answer!

If it comes up in a sandbox, my planned answer is that you get the stored information back and remember the thing much more strongly than human memory can usually handle. So it won't fade, or at the least it'll have 10x the sticking power. It's the difference between "I read that somewhere once" and having it jump to the front of your mind the next ten times you need it. (This is pretty much the lower bound for what Compounding copper might do. The future canon answer will probably be more dramatic.)

This, combined with Feruchemical zinc for thinking effectively instantaneously, is how I'll handwave any language barriers. Learning a new language still isn't trivial, but when you can instantly figure out all extrapolations from stuff you know and never forget anything, it's much easier.

Other extrapolations: There are 18 documented metals with known effects (well, lerasium's full effect isn't known), but we know there are actually 50 kinds that do something; 16 normal types, plus the god-metals atium and lerasium, and each of the other 16 alloyed with each of the god-metals (It may even be possible to alloy lerasium and atium together, and alloy that with the other 16). We know that all atium alloys have temporal effects, and personally I suspect lerasium and its alloys will all have 'Spiritual' effects. Which is not well explained and seems poorly defined, but seems to include things like your values and connection to magic and other people; we know 'identity' and 'connection' are spiritual things that Feruchemy can deal with. For example, I'd guess that burning the proper lerasium/tin alloy would let you 'see' people's relationships with each other, somewhat like Marcus does in Aurum.

She hasn't had any romantic crushes since the age of 23. She's very close to aromantic, but Chris is hitting all of her buttons like a sledgehammer (strong-willed woman with magic and air of subtle threat) and she has absolutely no idea how to deal. If it was just sexual she'd either go for it or write it off, but ????ROMANCE??????

oh, okay. that makes sense. if she's new at this then it makes sense to act like new at this. Johanna will probably get lucky because most purple characters like multiple genders.

Random aside: if anyone's as generally clueless about Toronto as I am and was curious, the church mentioned in Myth is this one.

I'm that clueless. Is May? That seems like the kind of place one would recognize without needing to check the address.

I assumed it was a case of hollywood datelessness, since she is played by Tina Fey (I mean, she wear glasses, what a hideous monster!)

It is weird to ship Leo and Milo?

I wonder if "suddenly shows up in another world" could become a common theme in Radon Absinthe
