That certainly was my theory when watching the show. Knowing what I know about the Effulgence multiverse, however, I’m wondering if Bosco might be from outworld.

I am going through Effulgence canons, and today I watched the Buffy episode Helpless, about Buffy’s 18th birthday. I was very surprised by the difference in how Giles acted there and in Effulgence.

I think kappa had an explanation about how the underlying relationship is different.

Yeah, that’s what I thought. Bella had him verbally say that he would not tell the Council certain things before even confirming who she was. Bella never recognized the authority of the Council and took control of day-to-day slaying more than Buffy did.
