I poked at it a little but it could use more poking if there are people better than me at "make the purples grayer and the grays purpler". But it should be available anyway because staaaaaaaaars.
Oooooookay. I THINK I have fixed the post editing timestamp thing! I wrote a bunch of tests for it and it seems okay, but I'm not sure how it'll play with historical viewed-at timestamps so please let me know if you see further funny behavior.
Intended behavior:
- Creating a post affects its update time
- Editing a post does not affect its update time unless it has no replies
- Creating a reply affects its update time
- Editing a reply does not affect its update time unless it is the most recent reply
Editing here includes actual post edits but also things like "changing the status to complete".
And I stuck in an On Hiatus status while I was at it, but that seemed less interesting.
Here all of the “its update time”s refer to the post’s update time, or do you mean that editing a reply will only affect the reply’s update time if the reply is the most recent one?
They all refer to the post's update time, specifically that appears in things like the list of posts on the main page or in your Unread section. The "last updated" stamp on the actual top post will continue to display only its own creation/edits, and replies will continue to display only their own creation/edits.
Aestrix and I have worked to try to improve the Starry layout and also add a "Starry Dark" layout. (Aestrix did all the design contributions, I just sanity checked and also shoved it all into a CSS layout.)
Starry mode now looks like: this, this
Starry dark looks like: this, this
(Marri needs to approve it before it'll show up for use.)
Those are some awesome layouts and I'm delighted about them, but from the screenshots, I think I need a lighter version than that light version for my personal usability. My eyes do a thing when there is light text on too dark a background, and some of those headers etc make my eyes do the thing.
seriously though, you guys did so good and i'm so happy
