Actually, I thought Thorn was the unnamed mortal from that story. The one who said "I'd mean forever."

I didn't actually notice he wasn't a mortal until it was pointed out, in fact. >.<

Yeah, I got that impression when I had read the story the first time, that's why I was kinda disappointed at Thorn!

They tend to show up as cooks or heads of household for rich people or nobility. The one extant journal for the template is makeyourselfuseful.

Does Promise vassalness prevent someone from severing the bond, if it doesn't involve hurting the master?

For example, if you have the ability to nullify contracts without consequence, or to make the eternal binding pass in an instant, or something similar?
