So why do most non-Feanorians call them Sindar and the language Sindarin instead of Thindar and Thindarin?

Tivarante Maitimo as of the end of there will be light: How do you feel about the fact that Taliar and the entire world of Nuime exist because the Miles template demanded a chance to seduce you into becoming a better person?

Also, what is up with fate in Paper Bag Princess? Can the elves there even swear oaths anymore?
Edit: Apparently they can, but I didn’t have other ideas for how fate got so extremely off track

Oh, is the /θ/ → /s/ only in word-initial position?

No, /θ/ → /s/ is everywhere in the world. It only occurred in Noldofrin Quenya except-as-Feanorian-loyalists speak it. "Sindarin" is a Quenya word. Quenya speakers who aren't Feanorian loyalists have /θ/ → /s/ and use Sindarin and Sindar. Sindarin speakers end up eventually adopting the loanword but their language doesn't have the sound shift in general.
Midnight resents the implication that he was seduced into being a better person and wants to pick a fight with the forces of metacausality and bets Taliar'll be willing to help him. Even if they did something nice for him this time.
Fate in Paper bag Princess got knocked off course by interdimensional visitors, same as everywhere else. That's really the only way to do it.

The Miles template apologizes for the phrasing; as of the time they demanded I create Taliar, they didn't know that the concept of virtue was a sore spot. Their actual intentions were along the lines of what Taliar's soul thought he should do when he was trying to convince it to spontaneously achieve godhood -
"find a way to persuade or inspire Maitimo to change that wouldn't hurt him and wouldn't violate his autonomy, that would instead actively improve his life and increase his happiness and fulfillment and bring him closer to his own ideals" (where the change in question is more or less "decide to stop being a rapist"). And their chosen method was "make Kappa invent a Miles optimized for this purpose; drop him in Maitimo's lap; wait". They are
pretty sure this was an okay thing to do.
Whether Taliar helps his husband pick a fight with the forces of metacausality depends on what he wants to fight them about and whether Taliar thinks he could get better results by asking me nicely for things. (He probably can. Mileses are very persuasive.)

....inventing Taliar for him was very satisfactory. He would like the forces of metacausality to stop having any power over him or anyone he cares about, and persuasion is a fine way of accomplishing this as long as it works.

How would the various Silmaril and Two Hells Maitimos react to the contents of there will be light?
