I don't object to being double green either if that makes people less weirded out.

I'm liking the flag idea. If we're always using the full flag, green-green and purple-purple are just fine for them.

for me probably. (Secondary is a dull blue, not actually a grey; call it Stormcloud if they need words.)

The flag idea sounds like the easier to implement/adjust right now.

An art teacher once told me that Green and Blue don't go well together, your colors are a great example of that principle. ».»

If Large Black Circle doesn't work on some displays, using the rectangles as our flags seems like the better choice. (I do like the circles for aesthetics though.)

The smaller circle, when coloured, consistently displays as a black circle to me:

On Mac OS X's Google Chrome and Safari both.

I think this is an example of EMOJI ARE EVIL.

Okay, something as basic as Large Black Circle not displaying annoyed me enough to actually do something about it--and in the process of fixing it, I now also have full symbella support and can behold Chi's ⁜ in all its glory! My minimal solution for Chrome on Windows 7 was to download the DejaVu fonts, unzip and install DejaVuSans.ttf, and then Settings->Advanced Settings->Web Content->Customize Fonts and set DejaVu Sans as the Sans-serif font. (I tried Code2000 first, but even though it's supposed to support ⬤ I couldn't get it to actually work.)

I think the squares are better, probably.

Does this look better? The circle was working properly for me so I can’t tell, but in theory my quoted version should work. I added U+FE0E before the secondary color circle, which should make it text mode.

Yeah, that makes sense. Although Nika does have an emoji which sometimes displays in color for me, it seems ok in that particular context.

Okay, so now I can see the large circle but the medium circle is now inexplicably displaying as the same size as the small circle, which it wasn't before. Fonts are hard.
