I will edit the tag guideline to encourage using status: complete for complete threads. But I probably won't be making much use of it myself because (a) brain, (b) haha like I ever finish a thread.

I support having threads marked as complete. I have so many dreamwidth threads open some of which may be complete.

I seem to have somehow managed to bork my account. Can I get a password reset, please?

I will PM you, Lambda. But a PSA that usernames are currently case sensitive, because I am still learning the ways of Postgres.

Changelog for the past day or so:

• Messaging is now a thing. Send, receive, and reply to messages; see full message thread at the bottom of a message; mark messages unread, important, read, unimportant, or deleted for both inbox or outbox.
• Character PBs are now a thing
• Character screennames are no longer unique. You want seventy three characters with the username awesomesauce, go for it.
• You can now create a new template directly from the character creation page. (Icons/galleries planned but not done)
• There is code support for complete threads but no UI for it yet
• The recently updated page now displays post count and the username of the last poster
• When you post, the landing page will jump you directly to your comment. It should respect page numbers and your current per_page setting.
• Characters now display their names as "Name | Nickname | Screenname" in the character selector instead of "Name (nickname_or_screenname)" because the search library I'm using doesn't search properly if there's a ( in front of a word
• Bugfix: previewing a reply should not display the post instead of the reply, and there are more validations to prevent this.
• UI tweak on the character list view page for templates with no characters yet

So excite!

Changelog:

• Bugfix: You can edit character's nicknames again
• Posts you do not have access to view are now filtered from the Recent Posts view
• The character view page will now always default to the last view style you used
• PBs are now displayed on the character list page, as are links to edit or delete the character
• The top menu has some basic breadcrumbs now. Final UI TBD but at least there's convenient links to things now.
• Not at all user facing but I did a bunch of work on the Effulgence scraper and it should handle board sections now.
• Templates now properly validate that you gave them a name
• Time is now properly displayed as "6:00PM" not "18:00PM"
• I spent like way too much time fussing with my Effulgence and character scrapers. The Effulgence page has a new corresponding UI.

I also imported some things! My, Alicorn and Kappa's characters are now all imported, along with the first section of Effulgence. (Going to do all of Effulgence eventually so people can look, but piecemeal. Cause like... it's huge and takes over an hour xD And then... start on an Incandescence scraper, I suppose.)

Also! FAIR WARNING. Once I consider the site done, there will be a database wipe before I declare it Officially Open For Business. I'll probably burn the time to preserve user accounts but the seed dump tool I use is really bad so for now, please bear in mind, all things other than your account must ultimately die.

What's the purpose of the database wipe? Could one of the requirements for considering the site done be an import/export tool, so that we can keep the stuff we want to keep, while still allowing you to clean the dust and crumbs out of the database?
