Made an eensy bit of progress on figuring out how to restructure the Goldmage chapter.

Poking forward on Goldmage some. Haven't hit a flow state, so this is probably a hundreds-of-words day rather than a thousands-of-words day but it's not nothing.

Decided to keep ~600 words from previous stab, wrote ~400 more.

Having finished Goldmage I started looking at Diplomats again.

I have a character concept in my head who seems like he wants to be alive. If he finds a plot to be his home he might jump the queue.

A plot bunny has viciously attacked me. I'm writing it now. Working title "Dogs".

I'm very proud of the first sentence. It is thus:

I'd heard that Lady Clara had a lot of animals, but that had to be at least ten.

"Dogs" is drafted at <2,300 words. It awaits beta-ing tomorrow and will probably go up then.

I'm re-reading what I have of Siaddaki so far.

Some representation consultants have inspired me in a direction tentatively entitled "Exaltation", which currently has a plot skeleton and 20% of a protagonist and an emotional tone but no words.

Exaltation is in the mulling-it-over stage. Consultants also inspired a new magic system with a disability-powered exploit but I don't have a plot to match.

In general I have way more premises, characters, dialogues, worlds, snazzy titles, etc., than I have plots. If you want to donate a plot to a good home lemme know and I'll festoon it with speculative elements from my Homeless Story Notion file and help it grow big and strong.

Now I'm going to go frown at Diplomats some more. I know I talked to somebeta about Diplomats but I can't remember which one or what was said or when this was.
