Can people reproduce in shifted form? I recall it was mentioned that pregnant people can shift fine.
(Subquestions, if "yes" or "sorta": Can someone stuck-in-morph reproduce, or are all those ex-cancer-patients infertile now? Does sex make a difference here? If a couple both shift, say, bunnies, and get up to the Standard Bunny Thing, and then shift back, are they going to have a baby human or a baby bunny or what? What if they both get stuck in bunny morph -- baby human, baby bunny? Could someone shift to a species that does parthenogenesis and have a baby that's Just Hers? Could someone (ew) shift an animal and reproduce with an actual animal? Less grossly, could an Andalite shift human and reproduce with an actual human? What happens to the incipient offspring when the Andalite shifts back? (If the Andalite's the pregnant one? If the human is?))
(The main actual motivation here is wondering about the future of colonies of Yeerks-permanently-morphed-human.)

Matirin said "I wish [Gem's magic system] worked here."
Have they tried wishing for greater reach of their favorite magic systems?

Sorry, Erek would have kind of unbalanced the limited-prevalence-of-alts thing we're doing and there wasn't plot call for him in Silmaril.
People can reproduce morphed. Elfangor does so with a human, while human-nothlit, in canon. I think I'm gonna nope getting pregnant while non-nothlit morphed. Permahuman-Yeerks like Astriss could do human reproduction from there.
Of course they tried that, doesn't work. Kind of a pulling yourself up by your bootstraps sitch.

I would like to suggest listing all of the things that "of course they tried that", in-thread or as an additional thing. I really enjoy those types of things, even if they don't work.
(Readers could also supply ideas, if the authors can't think of everything the characters should have)

Wait, was it ever mentioned in-thread that Yeerks die when reproducing? I was completely surprised when I ran across that comment, not having read the canon. Did Bella just learn it offscreen?

Bella learned it offscreen and it is canon. Groups of Yeerks glom together into what I have taken to calling a "clusterfuck" and then deglom into many many Yeerks none of whom are the originals.

"As a matter of principle you should never ever ever say things that might be oaths in a language you don't speak well."
Can you hijack a Fëanor by offering to teach him your language, then providing innocuous definitions for sentences that are really oaths?

I believe this was discussed earlier and it's not possible to swear an oath in a foreign language completely by accident, but it is possible to swear something in a foreign language that you didn't mean to swear if you thought you were swearing something else.

We have someone who writes Sith. And someone who writes Feanor. Hmm.
