The Nolofinweans are paving their camp and engraving every cobblestone, which is smart and which the house of Fëanor can't do. They have their walls done and a gate. This is a less-than-ideal solution and a better one is somewhere on the priorities list, probably behind artillery and currency and such conveniences. At a minimum I'm sure eventually they'll do a labyrinthine entrance to the place so it's effective at delaying intruders.
