Regarding "why would Eru pick now to start the humans" - I think it looks more like "oh, so that's why Melkor would pick now to start a war and break for Endorë."

I really don't think so. Humans need a sun and the sun doesn't show up until Melkor kills the trees and scarpers.

And at least in the Silmaril metacontinuity, humans show up earlier when the Sun shows up earlier.

That doesn’t explain Shine though. Plus Eru knew when Melkor was going to start a war, and could have stopped Melkor from knowing the humans’ schedule. That is probably why Melkor chose that time, though.

Translation chips: sense data -> brain -> chip -> brain, translation complete.

Chiplocked computer: intention -> chip -> signal to hardware, wait, can't do that part, chip is not in range of hardware.
