The Constellation report is working okayish. I eagerly await it having an unread status.

I have now given up on the forum report.

Accordingly I'm gonna collate the issues you've all mentioned in this thread.

A summary!
- Constellation report affords checking more than once daily.
I don't think it does? If you check "today" it does, sure, but yesterday's should afford checking exactly once.

- It's another page
Okay but so is the current one. There's a note on the issue now for email notifications or such as part of the 'unread' idea.

- Make new threads clearer
There's an image! It might be nice if they were more distinct (such as Ctrl+F searchable or in another box). Also the "new threads since I last opened this page" thing maybe. On the issue.

- Global day turnover!
This gets a solid maybe! If I recall it had problems when I suggested it but idk. Also on the list.

- If the report tracks reads it should be harder to accidentally read it
Does not seem like a huge problem to me. It's on the list anyway. It probably will not be too hard to implement a "oops no mark this unread again" button for the reports.

- Post lists encode information poorly
yeah this is not a report-specific problem but here an issue

- Maybe the default theme should not have such a dark background!
it doesn't. that's starry dark. unless you mean that #E3E3E3 or #D8D8D8 is a dark background. also not report specific but i understand this was raised as an attempted explanation for the above so i don't mean to sound as … idk, narky … as I expect I am.

In summary: I am apparently looooooong past fed up of doing the forum report! The colors were pretty and my code was fancy and I'm proud of myself for achieving it but I will be so happy to have it gone and I think I quite possibly object strenuously to suggestions I ever resurrect it but y'know maybe I'll be less like that at a time when I feel less stressed by exams. :P (It is never resurrecting, I am pretty sure; I will be improving the Constellation one when I have any time and so there will be decreasing reason to get this one back.)
