Turns out he doesn't have any sarcastic faces, and his selection of malevolent is lacking a certain je ne sais quoi. DeHann is unexpectedly Zannish.

Ah, I have similar problems with that. Some casting are just soooo perfect, except they lack the proper face range (╯°□°)╯︵ ┻━┻

Too bad, we could milk some x-men related jokes, I mean. Zann totally gives a deadly glare to people.

As mentioned in another thread: I need a male facecast for Tonies-and-Sherlocks who is as awesome as Lucy Liu.

This gifset is pretty convincing Tony-wise but since the purpose of this is a fairy Sherlock, I'm not jumping all over him immediately.

And in the course of attacking the problem from that direction (i.e. looking for alternate Tony Stark facecasts people have already made instead of looking for guys who look like Lucy Liu) I found THIS gifset, which is also pretty convincing even though it would face-collide Tonies and Sherlocks with Kolyas.

So, in conclusion: I want an alt-race male facecast for Tonies-and-Sherlocks who is at minimum as awesome as Lucy Liu or Aldis Hodge. If you can easily picture him as a fairy sorcerer, so much the better. I thought I wanted him to be Asian specifically but that does not turn out to be a requirement. Facecast wizards, go forth!

Do Tonies-and-Sherlocks always have short hair? Would you need a FC that had a mix of stubble and clean shaven? What other sorts of things do they have or not have?

Xian Lim is cute, http://taefest.insanejournal.com/5053.html

Short hair is usual but not required. I tend to prefer clean-shaven in general but facial hair is not as terrible for tonies/sherries as it is for some templates.

I don't have very many firm concrete requirements for a tony-sherry facecast. It's a hard slot to fill because they have to be able to make facial expressions that make me think "ah yes, a Tony" and facial expressions that make me think "ah yes, a Sherlock", and because apart from those things there really aren't that many firm qualifiers.

That dude is pretty cute and might work! I am not a fan of his tiny beard dot or imperfectly erased moustache, but I like his face.

kappa,i don't know how you do it but you do it really well, because i spent a really long time not being sure whether tony and sherlock were played by the same actor or not. they look so different to me and consistently different in a way that i can tell apart despite being rubbish at faces.

Right now I'm looking for someone that can make a happy/smirky!Tony face and a quiet smile and thinky!Sherry face. If that makes sense.

And am having shit luck.

Thank you, Shoal! :D I have been repeatedly told that I'm particularly skilled at choosing icon sets for characters, and I always get a warm glow of pride when that happens.

Yes, that does make sense, Anya. That is exactly the kind of thing. Good luck!
