I doubt that I'll actually have time to comb the whole thread again before the vote ends given the rate I've been going at, and I haven't found anything in the first eight pages which seems particularly damning to anyone else, so I'm just going to keep my vote on Alpha and hope that the tide turns back against him within the last hour. Although it probably won't.

No kill is now tied with Aestrix according to my unofficial count. I am genuinely unsure which of those I prefer at this point, so I'm sticking by my abstention.

Yes I agree he is being really suspicious, and I would really like him to stop that please.
I have checked my PM several times and there is no ambiguity that he is town.
Possibilities I'm considering: he is tired or something and making bad decisions, he is going for the same sort of aura of mystery as last time but less effectively, he has some sort of cool pro town power that activates upon his death but for some reason doesn't want to just ask everyone to kill him, or something else.
I am also not sure which of Aestrix or no kill I prefer, so I'll leave my vote where it is at the tie.

BSS, any chance this is one of those times to which '
the implied qualifier "unless something is going on"' applies...?

Alphabeta is not really making me think "scum", he is making me think "poor play" or "suicidal". Can someone be Town and also suicidal? If so, should we grant their wish and kill them?

We should stage an intervention. Maybe a light could visit him tonight to try to help him? I'm not asking for a light to claim, btw.

I was not asleep. I was at class.
I don't think I have words for the amount of psychological torture involved with being able to check progress on how people are voting to kill me, while not being able to comment, and all because of a RNG.
Kappa, yes. I am not happy.
If you are looking for me to snap and cry and beg for you not to kill me, it's not happening.
I've already said my arguments and haven't gotten anywhere. Most of the people voting for me have completely ignored them. Because, it's not actually about me. It's about statistics, about what's the most efficient route to victory. I don't have any weapon in my toolbelt to fight people deciding from on high that I get to die today, not because of anything I've done, but because they A. Wanted to kill someone B. The RNG said 1, and C. They don't actually have a better idea of who to kill.
I just. I don't buy into it. I don't, I never have, it's too damn coldhearted, too damn impersonal, and too damn personal. I say impersonal and personal because it's this awful mix of both. You're afraid of making a decision, so you don't. You're afraid of getting it wrong, of not being efficient, so you leave it up to chance and fate and a RNG and THE COIN. It's impersonal, to you. To me, it feels everything but, because it's like screaming into a void and having no one listen. I have no arguments that will work, no ploys to try, no words I can say that will make people see me as more than the poor sod picked out by a random number generator. Pitiable, certainly. But at least it's not them.
And yeah, I've been on the other side of the fence. One of the moments from the last game that still haunts me is when no.head.chicken vs tau was going on, and I was tired and had just had the rug pulled out from under me from my attempt to kill 63, and I looked at the votes and I knew I could change them and said, 'I don't know what to do.' I thought no.head.chicken was innocent, I thought it was unfair, I thought that it wasn't right that she was going to die without even having the time to defend herself. But I didn't know what to do.
So I didn't do anything. And chicken died. And I just...
If you want to do that, fine. On your heads be it. I can't stop you. I don't have the right words, I don't have the energy, I don't have the time or the patience. Fine.
If I die today, good luck to you all. I sincerely wish you the best of luck.

Okay I am just recently awake and caught up with the thread both, and man a lot has gone on. I'll vote No Kill for now, since there's not really time for me to go back through the thread and find my next-most-suspicious person before day end.
...Oh my gosh people stop posting in the time it takes me to hit "Submit"! I'm going to read Aestrix's post AFTER I submit this and hopefully still have time to act on it after @_@

I do not want you to snap and cry, Aestrix. That has never been what I was going for.
But I feel like your defenses have been uncharacteristic.
The RNG picked you and you did not offer a competing strategy. You have not participated in the listpost gambit. You spoke to your value as a player for the way you tend to lay out your arguments logically and contribute to discussion, but you're not laying out a logical argument and you have barely contributed to any discussions other than ones about killing you. It really reads like you're trying to use rhetoric and appeals to emotion to sway our votes because you don't have anything else to stand on.
Vote Aestrix.
