Re: Sandbox Discussions
She assumed it was idiomatic and referred to things she'd said.
Re: Sandbox Discussions
I assume sort of like the familiar idiom of "it's not what you're thinking". Which is usually said with no direct access to anyone else's thoughts.

nariveth is the best apprentice. it is known."Oh, certainly," Enserric demurs. "It's only a pity I can't teach you myself, really; I always did want a really clever apprentice."

A general comment: I like all of the in jokes which seem to be particularly common this week: THE COIN in Sadde’s awakening ritual, Alli thinking that she wouldn’t declare herself queen of Saturn, etc. They are very well done so that if I did not get them they would not detract from the story, but also work well as references.

Re: Sandbox Discussions
"Stumbled across a copy of Essentials in an abandoned house" was supposed to be a reference to the standard Bell method of acquiring magic when there's a masquerade, but I doubt that's standardized enough to count.

Well, you make so many in-jokes we have to miss some of them.

There was also an Eclipse reference (well, BDSM AU reference in general).
